beNeFit IX

Thank you to all who participated!

Enjoy the recap below of beNeFit IX!

Whether you were in the comfort of your home, or the TCF ballroom, we are eternally grateful that you have stayed on this journey with us to find a cure to end NF for good.

At beNeFit IX gala,  1200 “campers” demonstrated their record-breaking support that enabled us to raise more than $8.7 million to fight NF. The funds will continue to support NF Forward (NFForwardDetroit.org) and the Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF.org) to fund critical research to advance a cure for this debilitating disorder. Because of this, we are one step closer to living in a world without NF.

This year's 'Strength and Honor Award' was presented to Travis Carpenter.

Here is the video of Travis's powerful story that moved us deeply.

Travis is a young man with NF whose need for speed, unwavering resilience, and enthusiasm for life motivates us all. Despite what most would consider a tremendous loss, Travis has lived his life with gratitude and fearlessness. Travis inspired us all that night when he said:

“It’s sort of funny to think that I now have more, not less, because my tumor filled leg is no longer holding me back. Nothing will hold me back.”

Once again, much gratitude for your generous support. We are consistently humbled by the turnout and results, especially in a year like this one. Fighting NF sometimes feels like trying to boil the ocean. But with you standing alongside us and contributing toward a cure, that ocean seems a little smaller.
